What is
St. Louis Ballet School Performing Ensemble?
Students take classes for a purpose: to learn the technique and skill of dance in order to perform it on stage for an audience.
Through St. Louis Ballet School's new Performing Ensemble, young dancers will be provided even more performing opportunities such as festivals, fairs, community outreach and selected competitions.
Students selected through annual auditions attend special scheduled classes and rehearsals each week during the school year.

Performing:
Students chosen for the Performance Ensembles will learn new choreography and work on specific pieces for upcoming festivals such as National Dance Week, Grand Center's Dancing in the Streets, St. Louis Dance Festival and the Saint Louis Art Fair in Clayton. Additional festivals may be added. In addition students will prepare for performances for community appearances and selected competitions. Lecture demonstrations are also considered in the Ensembles Performance Repertory.

In order to offer these Performance Ensembles, we must provide each Ensemble Group with teachers, choreography and coaches. Monthly fees will cover the costs of choreographers and teachers during rehearsal time.
Costume fees/rentals will be billed separately.

These performing opportunities will be priceless to our students. Performing is essential to a young dancers growth in dance and life and we want to make sure our students are offered everything possible to inspire their dance experience while enrolled here at St. Louis Ballet School.
