Mommy and Me Dance Class
Ages 18 months-2 1/2 years
A class consisting of ballet, creative movement, tap, and more to get babies moving with their mommies.
Age appropriateness, 18 months - 2 1/2 years old.
Dress code is light pink leotard, pink tights and ballet shoes and tap shoes.

PreBallet 1
Age 3
An age appropriate, introduction to ballet for Age 3 including creative movement, stretching, basic positions and motor skills.

PreBallet 2
Age 4
An age appropriate, introduction to ballet for Age 3 including creative movement, stretching, basic positions and motor skills.

PreBallet 3
Age 5
An age appropriate, introduction to ballet for Age 3 including creative movement, stretching, basic positions and motor skills.

PreTap
Ages 4-5
An introduction to the sounds of tap for ages 4-5.

Ballet 1
Ages 6-7
First formal beginning ballet class for Ages 6-7

Ballet 2
Ages 7-8
Beginning Ballet, Ages 7-9, PreReq: Ballet 1 or 1 year of ballet

Tap 1-2
Ages 6-8

Ballet 3

Beginning Intermediate Ballet, Ages 9-10, PreReq: Ballet 2, or 2 years of ballet, Suggested: 2 classes per week

Ballet 4
Ages 9-11
Beginning Intermediate Ballet, Ages 9-11, PreReq: Ballet 3, or 3 years of ballet, Suggested: 3 classes per week

Tap 3-4
Ages 8-11
Beginning tap class for Ages 9-11, PreReq: Tap 1-2 or at least 1 year of tap

Jazz 3-4
Ages 8-11
Beginning jazz class for Ages 9-11. PreReq: Jazz 1-2 or at least 1 year of tap

Ballet 5
Ages 10-12
Intermediate Ballet, Ages 10-12, PreReq: Ballet 4, or 4 years of ballet, Suggested: 3 classes per week
Pointe 5
A beginning pointe class offered in conjunction with Ballet 5. Must be approved for pointe work by instructor of Saint Louis Ballet School and enrolled in at least 2 ballet classes per week

Ballet 6
Ages 11-13
Intermediate Ballet, Ages 11 and up PreReq: Ballet 5, or at least 5 years of ballet, Suggested: 4 classes per week
Pointe 6
Must be currently enrolled in at least 2 ballet classes per week

Tap 5-6
Ages 10-13
Intermediate tap class for Ages 10-12, PreReq: Tap 3-4 or 3 years of tap

Jazz 5-6
Ages 10-13
Intermediate jazz class for Ages 10-12, PreReq: Jazz 3-4 or 3 years of jazz or ballet training

Ballet 7
Ages 12 and up
Intermediate Advanced Ballet, Ages 12 and up, PreReq: Ballet 6 or at least 6 years of ballet, Must register for at least 4 classes per week
Pointe 7
Must be currently enrolled in at least 2 ballet classes per week

Ballet 8
Ages 14 and up
Advanced Ballet, Ages 14 and up, PreReq: Ballet 7 or at least 7 years of ballet, Must register and take all classes offered at this level
Pointe 8
Must be currently enrolled in all Ballet 8 classes and taking all other pointe classes at this level

Tap 7-8
Ages 12 and up
Intermediate Advanced tap class for Ages 12 and up, PreReq: Tap 5-6 or 4 years of tap

Jazz 7-8, Intermediate
Ages 12 and up
Intermediate Advanced jazz class for Ages 11-13, PreReq: Jazz 5-6 or 4 years of jazz or ballet training

Jazz 7-8, Advanced

Advanced jazz class for Ages 13 and up, PreReq: Jazz 5-6 or at least 5 years of jazz or ballet training

Adult/Teen Beginning Ballet
Ages 13 and up
This is a beginning ballet class designed for our adults and teen-aged students. It is a monthly tuition-based class. Classes in August can be paid on a per class basis until the month of September begins. This is a no-commitment based class.

Adult/Teen Intermediate Ballet
Ages 13 and up
This is an intermediate ballet class designed for our adults and teen-aged students. It is a monthly tuition-based class. Classes in August can be paid on a per class basis until the month of September begins. This is a no-commitment based class.

Petite/Junior/Senior Ensemble
Levels 4-8
The school's performance ensembles. Auditions are held annually and students in these ensembles perform at local festivals, fairs and community outreach events. Please see Ensemble Tab under the "Perform" link above for more information.

Trainee Program
Ages 18 and up
Our trainee program is a program for our serious ballet students who have graduated from high school and want to pursue a career in dance. They take class with Saint Louis Ballet Company in addition to Level 8 classes in the school and these dancers may be asked to perform in company's productions. A position in the company is not guaranteed. Some pointe shoes are provided. Acceptance into this program is by invitation only by the Artistic Director of Saint Louis Ballet Company.
